About the APA

Founded in 1979, the American Poolplayers Association (APA) is the world’s largest amateur pool league organization, with over 266,000 members competing in pool leagues throughout the United States, Canada and Japan. Weekly 8-Ball and 9-Ball team and singles programs serve as the qualifying ground to the APA World Pool Championships and Poolplayer Championships. The Equalizer handicap system allows all levels of players, including novices, to compete and win...with the national motto, "Everyone can play; anyone can win!"
 

About the South Orange County APA

The South Orange County APA (SOC APA) is one of more than 320 franchises, running pool leagues from the Costa Mesa/Newport Beach/Tustin area to San Clemente. Established in September 2006, the SOC APA has grown from 13 teams in the Fall 2006 session to 106 teams in the Fall 2024 session.

Weekly league play runs from Sunday through Thursday evenings with formats in 8-Ball and 9-Ball. All local players may become eligible for regional and national events throughout the league year. Visit the League News page for coverage of past events.
