Another way to Qualify for Vegas!!!

The APA Singles Program is a fantastic benefit to active players in the APA. Players compete within their own skill level tiers for a chance to earn a paid trip to Las Vegas and play for $15,000 in cash and prizes at the APA Poolplayer Championship!! Once you qualify locally, you do not have to pay any other entry fees all the way up through the National Championship Events!!

Participants at the national level receive paid accommodations at the Westgate Resort & Casino, a prize package, and travel assistance to the event in Las Vegas! Additional cash and prizes are awarded to players that advance in this modified single elimination tournament!!

How do I qualify for the APA Singles Program?
Players qualify locally by winning a Local Qualifying Board. These qualifying boards are run throughout the league year in two sessions. January 1st through June 15th. Winners of these local boards will play the Spring Regional the first weekend in March. The second qualifying session is June 15th to November 30th.Winners of these boards will play the Fall Regional the first weekend in October. To be eligible to participate on a Local Qualifier Board, participants must have a minimum of 10 matches played in the appropriate format.

Where can I find out about these Local Qualifying Boards?
Singles boards are generally posted on the APA App, so make sure you have your notifications turned on!!  I also post them on Facebook in the South Orange County APA Pool Community Facebook Group, so make sure you're following that group on Facebook. Additionally, players can run their own Local Qualifier Board at their favorite host location!! Contact the league office at southoc@apaleagues.com or (949) 874-9860 for instructions and materials needed!

What happens after I've won a Local Qualifier Board?
Once you've won a board, you are now qualified for the next Regional event on the calendar, either March or October depending on when you won the board. In order to stay qualified you must remain on an active roster in the format in which you are qualified. About a month prior to the regional event, you will receive an email from the APA with your regional location info, rosters, and any other information you may need. Make sure you are opted-in to receive emails from the APA.
